I think betting ads are okay as long as they're targeted responsibly and encourage safe gambling practices.
I usually skip ads in general so I don't mind it. It only gets annoying if certain social media figures are blatantly promoting it in their content. I live in the Philippines and a lot of influencers here promote gambling sites as if they are really encouraging people to gamble, they will tell fabricated stories that they won a certain amount in a short period of time.ย
As long as they don't promote malpractices, there's no problem with the ads.ย
Betting ads are like flashy billboards if you're already in the game, you won't need 'em. But if you're on the edge, they might just give you that final nudge. It's all about self-control, fam.
It depends on the audience which is why its currently a hot button issue as bet ads are basically proliferating and penetrating everywhere sponsoring anything and everything. Lot's of people with addiction issues from gambling and minors as well are always exposed to this ads which tempts them into the fold. And the category of people mentioned obviously wouldn't have enough self discipline and restraint which is going to make things most likely end badly for them. So I'm of the opinion betting ads should be scaled back and only shown on mature tv slots and also probably at off peak hours to reduce exposure of the vulnerable.ย
I don't really mind betting advertisements. But honestly, they need to step up their game because I'm tired of the usual promotions because some of them are half the truth only. They need to start being more creative if they want people to use their sites.
Well its advertisement its up to the one watching. But me sometimes i get frustrated cause its getting on the good part hehe. And it cuts off for the ad.
@facebook-samanthadelafuente You're definitely right Samantha! some of the ads are so basic looking most of the time and don't seem to be all that too well thought out so most people just ignore them instead of actually getting them interesten enough to visit the site or the app.
@giooo_6 I'd agree to thatย I that. I think its the most effective on those who gamble often or do t have a sense of self control
If its a creative ad like those Japanese ads i don't mind em. But on a more serious note betting ads seem to be every where these days.
