Martingale seems like a high-risk, high-reward strategy. It can definitely work if you're lucky, but losing streaks can get really costly. Always good to gamble responsibly!
@arniebaes Yes, you must always gamble responsibly.
I used to use a similar system with horse racing and it nearly broke me. It worked a few times for me so I kept using it. Basically you place a bet on a horse and if that loses then you double up etc. One miserable day this just failed to work for me and I ended up in a pretty deep financial hole. I don't recommend that you use this type of system for any form of gambling as you are bound to lose big at one point.
@graham Ah, I think you picked on of the worst sports to implement this strategy.
This sounds like an interesting system. I've never heard about it before. Looks pretty dangerous tho. You either win all or lose all.
@heyitsky Yes, I don't recommend using this strategy if you are not very advanced player.
I wouldn't want to go down that rabbit hole. Maybe I'll try a couple more bets, but if I still lose; I'm going to let you have it. And tell myself, that maybe it wasn't my day today. But the sheer idea of going down that path is bone chilling. Have heard this idiom about gambling from my seniors, it goes like this; โโwhile gambling you can win 2000โ of your money, but you can only loose 100%. Do the match.โ
@lateathelete69 I don't usually trust in this type of systems. However, with the right amount of resources maybe it will lead to success.ย
@dany Possibly, but it is a popular tactic among some professional gamblers that prefer horse racing bets. In theory it should work (and it did for me a few times) but in practice there is always the chance that you will lose a lot. I don't see how using the system on horse racing is any worse than using it with roulette TBH. At least with horse racing you have a chance of your knowledge of the sport getting you a result.
Martingale's like diving off a cliff with a bungee cord, hoping it doesnโt snap. Sure, you might bounce back up, but one unlucky streak and youโre free-falling into financial ruin. Ain't worth the anxiety, mat
@adtya That is a great analogy - how do you dream these things up 🤣 You are spot on that using the Martingale approach is likely to make your anxiety hit new highs! Even though it worked a few times for me I was never completely comfortable with it. I haven't used this since I lost a lot of money the last time and I won't use it again.
