Gambling has stereotypes that we gamblers may embody. What stereotype do you embody and how does it affect you? Mine is being spontaneous at times
I'm not sure what the other gambling stereotypes are but I would say I'm along the lines of being the Impulsive yet indecisive player which is one of the worst combos to have as a casino player because sometimes I'm a high stakes high reward person but at the same time a part of me can control that urge, but because they're clashing I end up with not being able to decide at all and end up with nothing because of too much overthinking lol.ย
@ray I get this dilemma. At times I also want to play free and enjoy the fun, but I also want to be too technical and analytical. It can make one confused and expose you to the realities of the casino
Is being impulsive a gambling stereotype? If yes then that's me
maybe same with the others. im a little impulsive at times since I do like to have as well
Here, in my country. You'll face stereotypes if you are a gambler. They consider it to be the profession of outlaws. Not sure how true that is though. Hahah
In my experience people who gamble are perceived as impulsive and reckless and to some degree untrustworthy. But these stereotypes are attached to those with a gambling problem.ย
Well, what type of player you are depends on who you are as a person, in my opinion. If you are calm and collected as a person, I reckon that you won't be reckless while gambling.
@dany That's me. I mostly gamble for fun. There are some cases, where I would play a bit recklessly, but overall am calm player.
In my area there's a sort of taboo associated with gambling. People say that the money you earn from gambling is not pure. And, gamblers have to face stereotypes, as they consider gambling a practice of outlaws.ย
Reckless but calculated gambler I would say. I tend to get crazy when it comes to playing matches but at the same time extremely focused as my moves might cause my downfall.
Iโm the quiet gambler type of guy. When Iโm in the table, I just sit there in silence, feeling like Tony Soprano.
im a calm and chill person. i play only for the fun. but sometimes also impulsive
I would think I'm probably a mix of both. I'am cautious about how I play and how much I spend but at the same time I always try to still have fun. Gambling after all is about trying to beat the odds somehow so might as well have fun while doing it
Never heard of this so don't really know the stereotypes out there, you could have highlighted them for us at least. What are the common gambling stereotypes.
