Basically etiquette 101, if you were to point out important etiquettes to a newbie that they should be totally aware of, what would they be?ย

Spend what you are willing to loose? I don't know whether that counts as etiquette or a mere hack

Well, it is not the most helpful one, but don't put your drinks on the gaming tables haha. Plus it is important to know all the game rules.

I would say that understanding the rules of all the games that you play either online or offline is very important. These days there are a lot of free versions of games that you can play (especially slots) so I would always recommend that newbies learn how to play and the rules of the game first.

If you are talking about land-based casinos then they all have different rules. This can vary from the dress code to the bet limits that they impose on different games. Again, it is wise to find out what these rules are before you go ahead. If you turn up in jeans and a t-shirt at some land-based casinos they will refuse entry.ย

Casinos are in the business of making money so if you do anything like card counting at blackjack tables then this will be frowned upon and you will probably be asked to leave. This is why online casinos are so appealing. The only advice I have for online casinos is to read and understand the Ts & Cs.

I think we should always observe our behavior especially when we are playing. We should always be polite and courteous to everybody especially the casino staff and fellow gamblers. Also, if you win, you might consider giving a tip, it's customary to tip dealers and waitstaff. The tip can be any value, but you can base it on your winning and your satisfaction to their service.

I think maybe reading up on the games you want to participate in. That way you know your way around what you're doing and won't have to hold up other players or bother them repeatedly for help. Another would probably be that you have control over yourself and the money you choose to spend. Its understanding that you can and will lose and that its important to know how to properly react and recover. In addition to that, its knowing when to step away from the table and knowing your limits on spending.ย

@tituskrit Lol! it's def plausible as an etiquette especially as it aids in setting boundaries which are essential in order not to get carried away.

@amyxxย  Could see how improper it'll be to do that, so definitely helpful for the unintitiated

Know the rules of the game before you sit down to any game. Ask the dealer if you're not sure of the rules. With regards to dealers, always be respectful. Don't criticize them for their dealing or blame them for any losses you incur
