The Australian Communications and Media Authority (ACMA) has announced new additions to its block list of unlicensed gambling websites, making them inaccessible in Australia.
As per the ACMA's announcement, internet service providers (ISPs) have been directed to block access to the following sites: Jackpoty, A Big Candy, and John Vegas Casino.

An investigation by the ACMA revealed that these websites violated the Interactive Gambling Act 2001 and should not be available in the Australian market.

Since it began restricting access to illegal gambling websites in November 2019, the ACMA has blocked a total of 995 unlicensed and illegal gambling websites.

Additionally, approximately 220 unlicensed gambling businesses have withdrawn their products and services from the Australian market during this period.

Thanks for sharing @anton. It is great news that the ACMA is banning all of these unlicensed sites. If every regular was as good there would be no more unlicensed sites (or very few) and players would be a lot safer.

Player safety is always important. Unlicensed sites should not occur anywhere.

@amyxx I agree but it is not always easy to determine if a site is unlicensed because they tend to lie about everything. The only real way is to perform proper due diligence and contact the licensing authority that they claim to be licensed by.

Once you have found an unlicensed casino what do you do then? As far as I know there is no authority available to deal with these unscrupulous sites.

@grahamย

Thanks for the reply. I have never seen/found any unlicensed casino if I remember well. Unfortunately, it is a hard question. The most logical option would be contacting the authorities, but as you mentioned, they wouldn't deal with these sites.

ACMA has blocked a total of 995 unlicensed and illegal gambling websites. Good looking out ACMA. I hope more regulatory bodies would take their mandate more seriously and protect players
