For the traders here: How long did it take you to actually start making profits? And consistently at that.

I dont do much trading (rightfully so🤣) but ive seen lots of people claim that it took a few years before they actually started streaming in profits in a regular basis. Some close to a year but the constant theme is that it takes time

Thereโ€™s no such thing as easy money... so putting more effort into trading might boost your chances of making a profit but thereโ€™s no guarantee of success. 🤧ย

Trading ain't a game for the impatient, took me a couple of years of blood, sweat, and a lotta tears before I even saw consistent green. If youโ€™re in it for quick bucks, youโ€™re in the wrong hustle.

Trading is definitely no easy feat and you also need to be knowledgeable first when doing so. Lots of research, time, effort, and most importantly SANITY just to earn profit. You need full dedication for this one.ย

I have never tried trading myself because too risky and way too many steps to learn but a friend of mine tried it and he's still into it. The guy has been into it for more than 5-6 months and the total profit he made was a mere 200$ so I think if you want a consistent flow of money, you either skip this hustle or you have to invest a lot of time and money to learn how to make it in this hustle.

@zeeno If one invests a lot of money and time into it; is it certain that he'll make money out of it. I just wanted to know, I'm not much knowledgeable in this field.

Are you referring to sports trading like on betting exchanges (i.e. Betfair) or financial trading of stocks/shares?ย

Ah I just clocked that this is in the crypto thread so that answers my question.

Crypto has some wild swings which present profitable opportunities for traders but it's still a risky business unless you really know what you're doing.

Some of the fees for buying crypto are really high too so you'll need to consistently make +10% on your trades to compensate for that too.

I don't have such discipline so I just keep buying...

I am scared to to be honest as I am still learning and the market is so volatile right nowย

I personally can't comment on that because I'm less into trading and more into crypto and gambling but as far as I've seen, you have to be really bad at trading if you invest a lot of your time and money and still don't get profit out of it. The market can be really volatile and you can never know where it'll go so i prefer not going there.

@facebook-yemburzalkhan No certainty in trading. In fact many people say you should paper trade for literal years before trading for real - it's not for me!
