I have mined but as part of a company effort. There is a mining entity over here where you kind of buy shares in the equipment and get a monthly incomeย

Very nice insights on miningโ€ฆ. Would it be an ideal source of income?

Wait? Is there really something called crypto mining, didn't know of that. Some guys have commented that they used to use machines. Woah, can anyone explain the process?

@facebook-sarahrakiel what? That's interesting. Does it pay? Would you recommend? I used to do mining but forgot my password 😔😅 and all efforts to reset it have failed.

Crypto mining? You need to shell out big bucks for hardware and electricity, Plus, with the market's ups and downs, your profits can vary a lot. Better odds playing the lottery!

@facebook-skibidirizz Depends on how much profit you are targeting.. If you want higher profits invest a lot.. say at least $1500.. You can also try cloud mining, but it is tricky and sketchy, But $10 can get you started

Iโ€™ve dabbled in it a bit. Itโ€™s pretty cool but definitely not as easy as it sounds.

@anton that seems difficult considering the conditions required that you just mentioned. I have seen people recommend cloud mining instead of crypto mining. Have you tried it? And what's your experience?

I've always been led to believe that you're better off speculating than mining because of the energy costs and low reward.

Recently though my electricity provider has been introducing periods of free energy which got me thinking about it again...

I tried but then I gave up. I didn't have the right tools and also didn't know the ropes.

Yeah, I actually tried mining a little while back. I started with few GPUs in hope of making quick money, but it was actually not that simple. The heat was one of the biggest problem for me personally.

Crypto mining? Nowadays itโ€™s mostly hype and wasted electricity. Better odds playing the lottery!
