So I was doing some research and came across an article discussing baccarat and it said that while the game is played at lower levels too, it's mostly associated with "high rollers." Monied people, hence the high stakes and glamor. What are your thoughts on this?

This gave it its image of a glamorous leisure activity of the wealthy. Popular culture has furthered the notion of it being a high rollers game. In its traditional forms like Punto Banco, there is an enormous sum of money wagered which brings the prestige of being seen at the baccarat table. In casinos, they place baccarat tables in private, high-limit area called salons privés. This area is usually luxurious, oozing sophistication, and comes with personalized service. All these contribute to baccarat being seen as a high rollers game.

Yeah this is what I've noticed too, I've always thought it's high profiles and really rich people-only games and I was intimidated trying to join one.
For some reason whenever I see Baccarat players it always make me think they're the top notch rich players in the whole casino system. This thread just proves that there's more to it than meets the eye.
