What’s the best time to place a bet on a football match? before kickoff or live during the game?

I’m curious what’s worked best for you?

BOTH! I've made some incredible winning bets on live games. Betting on live games is more fun for me personally.

@dany I agree that live games are more exciting. If you follow football and are watching a match with the intent of having a bet then you can sometimes tell that one team is going to score even if it is against the run of play. The only issue I have with live betting is that you need to be committed to watching the game (or at least keeping an eye on it) which you may not have the time to do.

Most of my football bets are placed before kick off and that is just a personal preference because I am usually busy doing other things and don't have the time to watch. I have made some great money through football betting in the past. Although anything can happen in a match, there is still a good degree of predictability in some games.

I have never done football betting before so I wouldn't know. If I was to though, I would probably start with placing bets before kick offs. I find that would be easier to do since there is historical data to go with.

If the stakes are high its probably better to do so after the game starts. You could observe the rhythm for the first few minutes. But football matches are dynamic so there isnt a “best” time to bet. The better odds for a better payout would be before kick off though

@giooo_6 True, but just when you think you’ve nailed it, someone scores an own goal in the 89th minute and ruins the whole scene. Classic football drama! 😭

If you're looking for good odds, you usually have the best chance of getting value as soon as the odds are released because of uncertainties such as team lineups, injuries, etc.

Betting in play can be a risky endeavour but with certain exchange strategies such as scalping it can be profitable

As soon as the odds are released, corrections might be done later, but if you are quick you could get really good benefits.

Both have their own perks, But if you wanna avoid stress and get better odds, hitting it before kickoff usually gives you more bang for your buck.
