I'm not sure about the legality of the issue but I have seen accounts get restricted if the owners are scoring way too many wins.
Legal or not, theyโll ban you if they think youโre winning too much, exploiting a loophole, or just not playing the way they want, Itโs their playground, so they make the rules.
I'm not all that familiar with sports gambling sites; but I think it does happen. Regardless of whether its legal or not; I think it's for control as well.ย
Depends on what country you are in.
In the UK, yes they are totally within their rights, unfortunately.
I have heard about someone in Australia winning a court case on the matter though.
Ladbrokes had an advert "where the winners play" which is hilarious because as soon I started winning decent amounts they banned me!ย
Gambling is business, people should not be banned for winning more.its their efforts.
i don't think its fair to get banned from winning. people come to casinos to win 🤷🏼♂️ i suggest just stay away from that site
You'd first have to read their T&Cs. It's likely there is a clause in there that limits or bans accounts with suspect activity. There may also be a clause that sets a limit on how much a player can win and states it's within their power to ban an account if they believe is exploiting a loophole. Is it legal? As long as they are following their terms and conditions, the ban is upheld as legal. Is there any recourse? Yes. Share about your ordeal on social media and put a dent in public perception of their brand. Hopefully, they'll be jolted and stop such behavior.
Dana White said something similar in one of his interviews, he said that some casinos wouldn't let him play as he used to win big. But at the end of the day it's upto that casino, if they have mentioned such a clause in their terms and conditions then i guess you can do nothing about it.
Legal or not they've got an army of lawyers that have advised them on the finer details of what they re doing and how to counter any legal opposition. Also most of us don't go through the terms and conditions which would definitely have a clause that gives them an out.
@hildaw This is the best way, calling them out on sm cause i believe they re banking on a lot of people not been able to afford legal representation or even the hassle of it at all if they're able to get a pro bono lawyer. A lot of them are very sensitive to their "brand image".
