For me gambling at work isnโ€™t the best idea, and we must follow the rules of the workplace. That said, I understand it can be a distraction but not everyone is comfortable with it. A better solution could be setting boundaries and rules. Itโ€™s all about finding that balance, you know?

@khalidbedouin Well that's wholesome? Is that the right word haha. At least they didn't get in trouble for it but I'm not quite sure how proper it would be to allow gambling on school grounds. Or wait is the whole class getting an entertainment out of it meant they got in trouble?

Well that depends, I don't see anything wrong with having a small wager on their break for example...

@facebook-sonnyborja This sounds chill and crewships sound not that strict with rules. Seems like a fun event to be fair. Would have loved to see it

I wouldnt risk this. Even if I knew my boss would turn a blind eye or whatever I just think its disrespectful in general. You'ree getting paid to work and not to gambleย  You can do that on your spare timeย ย

@heyitsky As far as I know they were never caught and didn't lose their jobs. I saw some of the guys a few years later and they were still working for the company. It was just nice to see them again so I didn't ask about the "gambling club" (now I wish that I had done this LOL).ย

Maybe they were discovered and received a warning from the management and told to stop doing it. It was rare in the company that people would be sacked immediately (unless they were caught stealing or something like that) so they could have been warned off and decided that it wasn't worth it. The truth is that I don't know what happened - but I do know it was stupid of them to take such a risk!

Where I used to work people gambled frequently. This is more of sportsbetting where they place the bets and wait for the outcome. It didn't seem to affect their workflow but messed them finance-wise as they used to take salary advances frequently
