Did you win? Did you lose? I'm interested to hear y'all's story!
I wrote about the best bet I ever won with in a previous post. I had received a "hot tip" for a horse from someone that knew my cousin who is a professional gambler. The starting price for the horse was 16/1 which I would never normally consider. According to the form and newspaper tipsters it had no chance.
But I trusted my cousin's friend and bet £100 on it to win (no place bet). If I ever fancied a "long shot" like this before then I would always go for an each way bet (win and place) and the most I would bet was £10. The horse won the race convincingly and I won £1600 plus my £100 stake back. I have never placed a bet like this since and this was in 2002.
Hmm I don't have such a record in my history 😅
- @graham Talk about luck! That is indeed crazy and I can exactly picture how you've reacted to that. I'm still trying to figure out how your cousin's friend managed to ace that (although i actually have a gut feeling what really happened behind the scenes, or maybe it's just dark magic lol) but truly those events in life is like once in a lifetime shocking thing and I'd remember it the rest of my life. The prize isn't a joke either, thanks for sharing this it's really interesting
Ohhh gosh I wish I had one to share since I would have if I could. I think I'll wait on the other members in the forum. I look forward to hearing these crazy bet stories!
Not me but I know someone who went to gamble in a casino and worn big. He placed his last money. He had sold an item worth I think $50 and he said he just had a "feeling"... That intuitive nudge 😆. He won $650.
I wish I could share an interesting story on this topic, but I've always played it safe. So I'm curious about other people's stories, and I hope I can read mostly success stories!

@divine I would have loved that to happen to me haha. Imagine playing and being on edge the whole time not knowing you would win big. I would have been so happy by the end of the night
@heyitsky I know! Hehe. But sometimes I think people just have a "feeling." You wake up and just do things in a way when you look back there is no logic to it but you did it anyway. Those are the best days 😂.
