Its a belief amongst some gamblers that there are slot machines that are considered "hot" and "cold". Cold machines are said to be those that have already given payouts multiple times and have gone into a frozen-like state and playing in this slot machine would only result in eating up all your money. While hot slot machines are what gamblers should go for as they will most likely payout.ย

What do you think of this perspective? Is it worth following this advice?ย

There is actually a real concept of hot and cold slots. Hot games are those that tend deliver a higher Statistical Return Percentage (SRP) than the advertised RTP of the slot. Cold games are those whose SRP is consistently lower than the advertised RTP for the slot. It is all very well explained at https://slotcatalog.com/en/read/guides/Hot-Cold-games-Choose-right-game-to-play

These hot and cold ratings could give players a real advantage. Who wouldn't prefer to play a hot slot that consistently delivers higher than RTP? I have never used this information because I don't play slots very often. But knowing that a game is "Hot" would persuade me to play that slot over a "cold" one for sure.

The problem is how accurate the hot and cold ratings are. It all sounds good in theory but maybe the practice is different? It will be interesting to see if any members have experience playing hot and cold slots to see what they are like in real life.

I usually thought the hot and cold slot thing was a myth. At times if you believe hard enough it may work hehehe

Although I'm familiar with this I don't necessarily believe it 100%. Like I've mentioned in my recent posts that I think it's better to trust your luck because things like this aren't 100% true at all times.ย

I think that they are true and that I do believe in this concept. I have read about it in the past and have found it very interesting. I think it is a good guide to follow if you ever plan to plan on slot machines for reference.
