800K!Wow! I honestly wonder how he is holding up. Is he still alive?
@adtya Hahaha I was surprised by this response. Almost did a double thinking I must have been in the wrong thread. No biggie though! Haha. It made for a good laugh Adtya
So much callousness and indiscipline to lose such a large amount. Can't imagine how to feel if i were to be in his shoes. Then again i dont think ild have gotten up to that point to lose such a significant sum.
This is a perfect example of the dangers of falling into gambling addiction. He's not the only one affected but also his family. It made me curious what kept him going and did my own research, it turns out gambling addiction is developed because gambling itself stimulates our brain's reward system just like drugs.
That's a hard hit man, a hard hit! I only can imagine the grief he must have felt after that adrenaline would have dropped down.ย
@facebook-hadihammadi phew! It's had to fathom! I hope he finally got the help he desperately needed and figured a way to get things back on track.
@hildaw it's FREAKING INSANE. from the post it appears he is alive but has lost everything. His family. His money. And every thing else that comes with social relationships.
@kayden48ย it was a cumulative thing within a span of about 2.5ish years but regardless, $800k that's a huge amount of money!
@facebook-alicemawia yeah, that was wild of him to do that. When you can't help your self and start taking other people's money to gamble, it's time to check yourself into a rehab.
@khalidbedouin that's the problem. He wasn't filthy rich rich. He was doing okay. The $800k was lost in a span of 2.5ish years. And this was after getting loans and dipping into his wife's account. My guess is he was making about 6figures a year and had plenty saved... But then of course you know when you start gambling and losing that goes downhill real quick. The story is in the link.
@facebook-awsaw it's not like he is rich rich. Well, family would bail him here and there but most of it was his loans + what he had saved and at one point he took money from his wife's account. $50k to be precise.ย
@heyitsky I think wife left and obviously family fell apart. He also I think lost his job. And was left in debt. As he put it, he hit rock bottom of rock bottoms lol.
@adtya hahaha. It's okay no problem 😂 It seems you are having way too much fun you can't keep up with the threads. haha. It's funny 🤣 enjoy yourself.ย
@ishtar if you read the whole thread, you'll see the madness unfold in real time. When reading I couldn't help but wanna tell him, walk way please. Walk way! Like this one time he wagered $3k and got back about $40k guess what he did? He used $10k to pay back some debts. Then wagered back all the $30k left 😭 at that point I lost hope for his redemption.
@evcj_ agreed 💯. It's such a slippery slope and once you gain the downward momentum, the last stop is in hell.
