If a friend were to give you $50 to use for gambling at a casino you went to and you won $10,000 as a result would you share your winnings with them? Or would you keep it to yourself? What would you tell them.
I would definitely share money with the friend since I won because of their $50.
I would give them half of my winnings. Remember that without their help you would not have been able to play and win. When you give you will get back - I am a firm believer in this.
Instead of giving they some of the money, I think a more touching gesture would be to find something they liked and give it as a meaningful present.
Since I suppose if they could afford to give me 50 bucks for "throwing away", money wouldn't exactly be something they lacks. 😂
For me personally, I would give them a portion of my winnings (maybe around 10% max) because giving them half would be too much in my opinion since you also contributed in winning since you used your skills (or luck). 10% is still $1,000 which is 20x more than $50.
I agree with the other comments here too. I would definitely share my winnings as well in some way regardless if its in the form of money or a gift. Plus, it's always a happy moment to celebrate wins and what better if with a friend too. I'd bet they appreciate it since they also somehow contributed to your winnings!
If I won, for sure I will give him a part.
I would give my friend part of my winnings or at the very least celebrate with them. They were part of the reason why I received those winnings and was able to play so I think its only right they get to enjoy it too.
