Ever heard about the myth that some casinos release some gases into the hall that keep the patrons happy and more likely to splash on various games? Is this true? I am kind of buying it hehe
I've been in several land base casinos and I also know the owner of one and this definitely a myth.ย
Its definitely a myth hehe
These are the things you will never experience in online casinos 🤣ย
Check this article out. Seems it may happen and authorities do rounds to ensure oxygen levels are at recommended levels
@arniebaes Have you heard about such stories?
@tituskrit The casinos i've visited the oxygen is the last thing in the air. The smoke of cigars and whiskey is the primary one. 😀
Urban myths and legends usually have some truth in them. The gas in question is nitrous oxide (N2O; laughing gas): an anesthetic that has an anti-anxiety effect. It's widely available and cheap, and its recreational use in the clubbing and rave scene is well known giving a euphoric, pleasant, and joyful effect to revelers.ย
I doubt casinos would openly admit they release it, as it would be a criminal offense to alter someone's mental state to take advantage of them.ย
With that said, there are a lot of tricks and strategies that casinos use to influence people to play more and spend more. For example, the layout of a casino is usually confusing to get you lost and keep you inside for longer and have you spending. Another one, they place games in such a way as to maximize foot traffic to encourage impulse gambling. They have an arsenal of tricks up their sleeves to get money from your pocket to theirs. Undermine them at your own peril
@tituskrit, would that not be considered highly unethical? @dany, hahaha. Funny 🤣ย
Didn't happen in the land-based casinos that I visited in London and Macau. I must admit this is a new one on me and I am usually up on all of the latest nonsense that surrounds the gambling industry. If a casino was ever caught doing something like this they would be closed down immediately and maybe even for good. It would not be worth the risk for a few extra bucks IMO.
Hahahaha I've read about this somewhere online but I comepletely forgot about it. Thanks for reminding me now I can get answers from players who have played in physical casinos who could have experienced it
@heyitsky As you can most of them are vehemently denying that such a thing exists hahaha
