Nah man, there's lots of interesting stuff to bet on than betting on and then supporting animal abuse. The abuse going on for those sports is monumental and for ethical reasons i feel it should be banned. It is in most places though.
@evcj_ I would assume this would have been held underground because animal cruelty in itself is already a crime so whoever would have been holding the event along with the participants would be arrested. Hoping they stop this type of thing. This is why some breeds become generalized as "aggressive" because of videos, photos, or experiences that are going around like this.
Dog fights or animal fights of any kind really shouldn't be allowed.
I'd love to attend one and have first hand experience. Sounds exhilarating, and one for the books
@ishtar I couldn't agree more. Something as vile as this where you use animal abuse for your own entertainment is just disgusting. Countries where this occur really need to do better and take action
Any animal fighting is cruel. Humans we are a strange bunch to some degree. We derive pleasure from the suffering of others be it our own kind or animals.
@heyitsky Exactly, animal control and advocacy groups in those countries need to do better to close them down.
I don't know about dog fights, but in my country cock fights are still a hit. Adding to the intensity of the game, they attach shaving blades to their legs using wires; and the splashes of blood are everywhere.
Talk about cock fight; I got endless stories of chaotic drama. I used to take my rooster to the local mandi for the fights. Both the parties would agree for a certain amount, usually it'd be 50-70 dollars. Although, for some guys it was much more than this; their roosters were majestic. My rooster's name was Bru, he was a golden brown; beautiful beast. I still feel pity for my younger self, for I also use to include him in razor fights; where they tie blades to their legs. Ahh, man.
@evcj_ well that makes sense why some dog breeds get stereotyped. This is an incredibly dangerous sports too even for the owners. One wrong occurence someone could get hurt
Like others said, it's pretty unethical as animal abuse laws and animal protection laws have been more prevalent the past decade, which is the right thing to do anyway. Gambling should not involve loss of lives or harm to these animals, it's giving dystopian because you're gambling actual living animals for money.
@facebook-samanthadelafuente Definitely, but sadly such laws don't exist, and if they do; aren't enforced, in some parts of the world. You can see that bull fighting in Mexico and cock fighting in asia are the prime examples of uncontrolled animal abuse.
@amyxx Yeah it’s really sad, there’s so many fun ways to enjoy gambling and to decide to be cruel to animals is just really dumb.
