What are the pros and cons of using PayPal in online casinos?

I don't use paypal but use crypto and some other platforms. Why's paypal problematic?

@ishtar The problem with PayPal is that there is no recourse whenever a dispute arises. They make their judgments and its usually final with no chance for appeal. So it cut both ways for both the player and the casino, everyone is at their mercies.

I have used PayPal. Pros include fast reflection and versatility as you can use it on several platforms. It is also relatively secure. Cons, it can put your money on hold till you give up. It also sucks on case of disputes. I prefer crypto more

@tituskrit I agree with you. PayPal are notorious for holding money in someone's account in a  bid for you to get frustrated and forgo your money. Hate it! You give up and lose your money. 

@hildaw Their is also the 180-day ban... You can't play safe enough with these fellows

I don't use PayPal for gambling. And thanks for this discussion, because you shared eye-opening facts.

@hildaw I get u. Poor handling of disputes can be a real pain to deal with especially with no recourse.

I think there more cons compared to pros. The cons that I can think of are the following:

• Fees, instead of just paying the exact amount that you are supposed to pay. Additional fees maybe charged for currency conversion or withdrawing money from the bank.
• They can freeze your account if they suspect that you are involved in fraudulent activities.
• Availability, not all regions are catered by PayPal for gambling transactions due to local regulations

PayPal is all fun and games until you get a charge back or have your account suspended with funds. Skrill and Payoneer are better, or go for crypto payments
