I at times travel a lot and have encountered platforms that aren't accessible in some parts of the world, calling for VPN use and such. What is your experience with such restrictions and which platforms can be accessed everywhere with minimal restrictions
There are no platforms that I know of that have no restricted countries. Where do you travel to?
I travel a lot too and I am based in Mongolia which is often restricted by many sportsbooks and casinos. Some of these sites have very good security and even the best VPNs are ineffective. In the past, I have found it difficult to access the top UK betting sites using VPNs. They have deployed technology that even the best VPNs cannot overcome.
I am not saying that there is never a way to overcome this - I read an article recently where people were gaining access to restricted platforms by using high-quality proxy servers but I have not personally tested this. When I lived in China I found it very difficult to access international platforms no matter what method I used.
I've encountered this issue a few times before too. Its quite a hassle and even tho you can use VPN to gain access to a platform when you're in a different having to do that is just tedious esp if you travel frequently. Hope they come up with better solutions or at least minimize restrictions haha
@graham I travel mostly to South Africa and Kenya. Seems most platforms are not keen on these locations
@heyitsky VPN use can be quite hectic, especially if you use platforms like PayPal to fund your account. It may lead to account restrictions
@graham there are a number of global platforms accessible from anywhere in the world. Most have restrictions, especially against African countries. For instance I travel to South Africa frequently and accessing credible UK casinos is a headache. VPNs are a way through the problem but you may have to contend with slow loading speed
I think the only answer to this is a VPN. It may not be the best solution, but I cannot think of something else that could help in areas where you cannot have access.
