As I was reading gambling news online, I found this article. For those who don't want to read the article entirely, here is a brief summary: A South Korean company called Hana Financial Group has launched a three-year campaign to combat illegal gambling among young people and protect vulnerable groups. The campaign is estimated to cost 10 billion won ($7.32 million).

A safety campaign to protect the risks of illegal gambling for young people, and protect vulnerable groups is commendable. I see the campaign will span three years and will promote gambling harm awareness through educational material such as lectures, videos, psychotherapy sessions, and nationwide advertisements across TV and newspapers. Good lookin out Hana Financial Group.

This sounds like a great initiative in South Korea to me. As I have said often, I am for any initiative which tackles underage gambling and the possible addiction of young people. @hildaw thank you for the additional explanation which saved me going through the article!

I say good for you S. Korea! Prevention is better than cure. I imagine there are lives whose trajectory will be positively impacted by the initiative that otherwise would have take on a very different route.

Any developed country with legalized gambling should be doing the same

South Korea's dropping $7.32 million to tackle gambling harm now thatโ€™s what I call a jackpot for prevention! If only all countries could play like this, weโ€™d have fewer gamble-gone-wrong stories.ย

Itโ€™s great to see companies stepping up to protect young people from the dangers of illegal gambling. Hopefully, more places follow their lead. 🤗ย

It's the need of the hour to rehabilitate the youth who recklessly gamble without setting a limit. Commendable initiative.
