Yesterday I created this post which is about the main cause of gambling addiction. I conducted further research and as I want to understand the root cause of gambling addiction, I found this website online called GamCare which looks like a legit website that offer help for problems related to gambling. Let me know if you have encountered sites like this in the past and what are your thought on this one?

I am aware of the GamCare website and it is certainly legit. It has been around for a while now and they do a lot of good work to tackle the problem of gambling addiction in the UK. No matter where you are from, it is worth looking at this website as there is some very good advice there. Thanks for reminding me about this @evcj_

The site looks well put together and is reliable. It is important to talk about addiction and create a supportive environment for those who need it. Thanks for the topic!

I've actually seen this once or twice online in social media and I was thinking about its legitimacy. Now that you've linked it and I checked it out, it's definitely great from what I can tell and I'll defo recommend this to people who needs it.

Oh that's a neat website! I had never heard of it before but clearly from it's layout and everything, they have out a lot of effort. Also other people have asserted that it's legit.ย

I haven't visited the site yet, probably because I'm not that much addicted, hahah. But it sounds like a pretty good initiative. I see many people commenting here that they've done good work for prevention of addiction. Thumbs up for that. More such initiatives must be taken to create a more safe environment in the gambling field.ย

@graham That's a great news to hear. I think we need support groups like these because gambling addiction is a huge issue, and I think they are doing great work as I've seen testimonials online that they are legit and they already help a lot of people.

We should really promote this kind of pages, some people really donโ€™t know how to handle a gambling addiction.

This is really good as there are a lot of people with gambling problems with no recourse and it just keeps eating deep. More awareness needs to be made about these resources especially in places like where im from where resources like this are not popular. Mental health as a whole is not taken seriously here, so lots of people are deprived of the help they truly need.

@lucianop True. Don't think there's enough awareness around helpful sites like this. Promoting stuff like this with good ad campaigns is bound to raise decent awareness.

@facebook-yemburzalkhan Isn't it still a great idea to go through the site to see their resources and all. For all you know they may have tips to help keep you the way u are, staying addiction free. And could show what to look out for if you're beginning to slip. Just a thought.
