Connecticut Department of Consumer Protection (DCP) ordered Harp Media B.V., the parent company of Bovada, to cease its operations. The DCP accused Bovada of violating Connecticut laws and the Connecticut Unfair Trade Practices Act.
So sad. The few casinos which do not follow the law give a bad image to the entire industry
I am somewhat shocked by this news as I thought that Bovada was a casino with a good reputation. Do you know what they actually did wrong @dany?
@graham Lol, what they didn't is the better questions my friend. 😀ย Long list of violated rules and regulations.
Like they say; no one is above the law. If they are guilty of the violation of rules and regulations then I guess they deserve having their operations closed down. Less casinos that are problematic to deal with.
- It is sad hearing such kind of news because it creates bad images in people head.
@graham they operated in USA for more than 20 years without a license. But they threated their players really well and fair. So I don't know if the license in this case is so important as we're talking for so old casino with millions of pleased members.
Hungry for knowledge ๐ง
The positive take from this statement is: No one is above the law and should be punished if they violate it.ย
@strahil Absolutely agree. That's why we try to give the best advice and collect useful information so people can be aware of all risks.
@dany LOL OK thanks I didn't realize that it was that serious. They got what they deserved then.
@anton Thanks for that. It is amazing what goes on. I knew that they had a decent reputation with their players which is why I was shocked that they had this action taken against them.
