For me, 2009's barcelona has to be up there.
What? I think you forgetted 3 peat zidane madrid....
I think chelsea 2004-2006 was the best team.Jose Mourinho mixed the best of Claudio's team (John Terry, Frank Lampard, Damien Duff and Claude Makelele) with those already incoming for his debut campaign (Petr Cech and Arjen Robben), bringing in Didier Drogba and Ricardo Carvalho with Roman Abramovich's petrodollars to add a more physical, quicksilver and devastating edge to an already talented team. The Blues won successive titles in 2005 and 2006 (the former by 12 points, and only 15 goals conceded) with a brand of pressure football that earned them begrudged respect from non-Chelsea fans.
This question cannot be answered properly in my opinion, because we talk about different eras.
I agree that the 2009 Barcelona team were great but as @dany says this is a difficult one to answer because of the eras. You couldn't dismiss the Brazil national team of the late 60s and early 70s that had Pele for example. Also, the best team is going to be subjective - you could disagree with me if I stated what I think was the best team.
@graham I agree Graham. As a Liverpool fan I might be biased, but in my opinion Van Dijk is a better defender than Terry let's say. Back in the day football was not so complex sport. Now a to be a good defender you can't just defend, but you must play as a pivot, make good long passes, have pace, great IQ. Back in the day it was all about defending.
@dany This is a good point - it is all too subjective and biases are likely to sway people's opinions.
Real Madrid of course
2008 man united
Some teams come to mind-
As much as i hate it City 4 peat team
Spain 08โ

Has to be 09 barcelona team for me. They crushed and breezed passed every team in their path with some style and substance. Beautiful football, mesmerizing achievements, top class players. They had everything and were a force not to be trifled with.
@dany True that. Its always going to come with lots of subjectivity and the game has changed over eras. Nutrition, the rules, fitness, game state etc. And also very few persons can say they witnessed a significant number of eras so recency bias is going to reign supreme. Still makes for fun discussion though.
I'll personally go with the 17-18 Real Madrid team . They literally won UCL three times in a row.
