Have meme coins influenced investment culture globally?
Most meme coins are scams and people are getting cautious of investing in them. Too many rug pulls.
If not else they are very cute, the DOGECOIN at least. I bought some just because the logo is awesome! 🤪
@facebook-marianedoklanova I agree that some people will invest in meme coins because they like how they look but I think it is going too far to say that they have influenced investment culture around the world
Meme coins have influenced investing. However, I lean on the side they are prominent due to herd mentality and the fear of missing out. There is no fundamental reason of investing but rather sheer speculation that makes them popular. People jump on the trending meme coin hoping to turn a quick profit. I actually don't think people make any money, but no one would openly admit it.
@facebook-bawootaigho this!!! Very true. Have seen people get scammed by useless meme coins so much recently
Meme coins really show how social media and online communities can quickly shape market trends! For example, dogecoin started as a joke but ended up drawing serious investment and attention. Itโs pretty wild how something that began as a bit of fun can end up having such a big impact!
Meme coins have turned investing into the wildest rollercoaster half gamble, half joke, with serious money riding on not so serious coins. And sometimes, luck throws in its own twist just to keep things interesting.

@hildaw More people end up with worthless coins than making any profit and a lot of failed airdrops as well. Took part in one recently, none of us got the airdrop, those that did invest were done the typical rug pull ending up with rubbish worthless coins. Like u said the only mechanism behind em is hype, nothing more and that's not sustainable. I don't agree they influenced investing in any way. Just a current trend that'll fade sooner rather than later. Ratio of successful meme coins to failed ones is like 1:10 in my opinion.
memecoins are pure gambling. there are no fundamentals at all. I suggest not putting more than 10% of your capital to those memes!
Most memecoins dont hold much value and some seem like gimmicks thus they havent shaken the market much.
I understand they are a form cryptocurrency associated with Internet memes. They are circulated online for fun.
People have made a lot of money from it and just like the Gold rush, people providing platforms where they can be traded have benefited a lot

I think meme coins are perceived to be influential because of the fear of missing out but really what happens when that passes? They tank big time. The only people who make good money are those who cash out at the right time.
