@lewisw 🤣 you want something you can barter in case of zombie apocalypse? But I see what you mean. The volatility of BTC is a downside.

@facebook-samanthadelafuente agreed. The revolution is already happening and it's only a matter of time.

One of the reasons that gold is so popular is because it is seen as a smart investment that is not affected by inflation and other variables.

I like this point @graham. BTC does still have a long way to go before it can be fully adopted as a store of value.ย

@abaes agreed! It has brought in a new shift in paradigm. They might coexist with gold although BTC's volatility is a major downside.

@facebook-skibidirizz eh, wanna explain more about quantum computers? I find this whole quantum thing fascinating but won't they require to keep those quantum comps in space because apparently that's the cold room that they can function in? 👀

@divine You are right. Some people are totally against crypto and think it's a total scam. Can't really blame them as there are a lot of frauds and scams in crypto space but I hope they can experience crypto as well

I don't think it's a scam as well. It's just it has got quite a reputation among certain people and they are hesitant to try cryptoย

Don't think its possible or feasible anytime soon, gold has withstood the test of time and bitcoin is way to risky and volatile to be a suitable alternative. Gold would most likely still be the bench mark for value storage a hindred years from now.

@kayden48 And that reputation is not going away anytime soon and a negative reputation's usually hard to get rid of even with world class pr firms.

I don't think it will happen anytime soon, and it might not even happen because gold has been around since 550 BC. It has been used as a currency or as a means for trade during the past. Gold is more stable and I think it will be still used for the next centuries to come.

@facebook-anikeadaeze Agreed. It will stay like that. People who want to will continue using crypto but some people will continue being very against it

@divine i'm not really into it, but from what i've read, it is 1000x faster than current fastest computer , it can brute force your wallet password in just a couple of minutes (which traditionally takes years on current computer 😱)
