The premier league's beginning soon, so something similar to the one done for the euros but like FPL format with prizes for various positions. Giveaways could be organised weekly or bi-weekly or monthly with clauses attached about marjeting the community to participate. The usual.

Maybe you can host a livestreaming discussing about gambling and casinos? Have some guest speakers on it if you can. Then maybe do giveaways while on live? If you have a page or account on other social media it could help promote the forum.

@ishtar I also think that EPL is the most recognizable football tournament and will be good to have some game with it. And is good that matches are always Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday. Maybe we can do this: every Friday I can announce the matches for the round and members will give their predictions. On Tuesday morning the member with the most guessed matches will win some prize. Next week we do the same.

But here comes a question. Should we take the odds for every match and multiply with some points? Cause it's very different to guess the host win of Manchester City vs Brentford and the surprise draw of Aston Villa vs Liverpool. I mean that maybe it's better to complicate a bit the game and include the odds for every match.

What do you think guys?

@graham you're the most experienced member here. What do you think?

I think if you are going to do a live-stream, you might want to try to host a 'Gambling Trivia' as a quiz, so that members can actively participate and at the same time you can monitor them if they are really answering questions based on their knowledge or they are just surfing the internet.

@anton I think the EPL is a good choice because as you rightly say it is the most well-known. How long do you intend to run this competition for? A month maybe? It could become quite complicated tying the odds of the games to points values. To Keep it simple, you could say that for each tip that members provide they will be placing a bet of $10 on that tip.ย

At the end of the month you can calculate the winnings from each tipster and the one with the highest amount will be the winner. There should be enough variation in the tips to avoid a draw after a month. If members are just predicting the outcome of games then it should be a simple process to calculate the winnings for each tip and eliminate losing tips.

I would recommend that you stick to match outcomes and avoid adding other betting markets such as under/over goals, first player to score etc. Keeping it as simple as possible will help members and admins.

@evcj_ This is a good idea. Live streams are good in theory but if you have to just "sit and listen" for long periods then people will be likely to leave. Some good interaction like a quiz would make people want to stay.

@anton I think that's awesome. It works that way. And there's a lot of possibilities not just the scores of matches, team withost goals scored or conceded, yellow cards etc. Might add one variety category each week.

@ishtar This is a good idea. There needs to be a "reference" site that the admins use for the odds so that everyone knows how the winning bets will be calculated etc. I am sure that a competition like this will be very popular with the members as a lot of them seem to have an interest in the EPL.

@anton when are you thinking about starting a competition like this?

@ishtar I think its better to stick to 1x2 because it will get really complicated with yellow cards, corners, etc..

@graham next week for the first round of EPL. Probably @dany will be the moderator of the game because he is a big fan of football. But I will participate as well. We can all try our luck. The prizes will be not enormous but just beer money maybe $25 weekly.

Is it decided what will be done or are you still looking for inputs?
