Hey everyone, so I'm sharing some basic tips that I've gathered from some fellow players including my own experience from playing blackjack and I hope this can be useful!

1. ) Stand with 13, 14, 15, or 16 on Dealerโ€™s 2-6

Since these hands come up frequently in 21 games, it's necessary to understand how to play them. To begin with, if the dealer reveals 2, 3, 4, 5, or 6, it is helpful to stand. It is preferable to hit and attempt to strengthen the hand if the dealer's upcard is higher. Use surrender on 16 against 9, 10, or Ace if it's available.

2. ) Only Stand with 12 on Dealerโ€™s 4, 5, or 6

The ideal blackjack strategy in this situation tells that you should only stand if the dealer is displaying a 4, 5, or 6. If not, hitting is the right option because their hole card will probably make their hand better than a 12.

3. ) Never Split 10s

With the opening hand, you should always stand according to traditional blackjack strategy. You have a good chance of winning the hand if you have 20. The alternative would be to risk breaking a strong hand in order to produce two bad ones.

4. ) Split 8s and Aces

Splitting a pair of eights or a pair of aces as the opening hand is always a suggested option. Even though it calls for an additional wager, this is true regardless of what the dealer is displaying. It is much the same with nines, however if the dealer has an Ace, 7, 10, or 10, it is recommended to stand.

5. ) Hit on Ace-7 for Dealerโ€™s 9, 10, or Ace

Even though Ace-7 can be a great starting hand, if the dealer has an upcard higher than 8, you should hit because it is more possible that he will build a stronger hand than 18. You will eventually get better results with this ideal blackjack trick even if just slightly.

6. ) Double Down on 11

One of the greatest starting hands in blackjack is a hard 11, which is formed of the first two cards you were dealt. You are able to benefit from this by doubling down and in the long term, this will help you optimize winning hands and make the most out of the scenario.

7.) Stand on 17+

Standing on a hard 17 or above is the initial rule. Given the limited number of cards that can be advantageous, it is preferable to hold the hand rather than try to boost it further, even if the dealer is showing an Ace or a 10.

These are just some of the basic keys to think of when it comes to Blackjack and obviously not all of this can be applicable all the time so be prepared of all the possibilities regardless. Blackjack has more complex strategies, cheat sheets and different gameplays to offer and I will post more about it in the future. Let me know if you have thoughts, counter points or other tips you want to share in the comments!

Yes, I used to play blackjack with a "perfect blackjack" chart in front of me to keep the RTP as high as possible when wagering bonuses.

Eventually you just remember all of the rules...

Solid advice here, @ray. Blackjackโ€™s all about the long game, knowing when to hold and when to push your luck. Newbies need this kind of breakdown to get the hang of it. Keep dropping those gems!
